Matters Most

I used to take things for granted;
     The health, the family, even the fortunate job for the family (with its consequences), and many more.
     There were the missed opportunities, the rarely visits, spending most time only for the fancies and neglecting what matters most.

When finally things had gone, they’ve gone, and would never turn back.

Now, I learn not to,
    I save, I reap, and I savour anything left,
    As that’s what I can do.
